Homeopathy for Hypertension or High Blood pressure

Homeopathy can help manage and reverse High Blood Pressure

Blood pressure is measured using a sphygmomanometer.

A rubber cuff is placed around the arm and inflated with air until the pulsation is no longer heard, than the cuff is deflated until a pulse beat is heard again. This is known as systolic pressure. After this, the cuff is deflated further until the pulse beat disappears. This is known as diastolic pressure.

Blood pressure is considered normal at 120/80, but it may vary with age, sex, and health conditions.

High blood pressure is a disorder in which blood pressure is persistently beyond the normal limits.

Blood pressure is considered high when the reading is greater than 140/90.

High Blood Pressure / Hypertension - Homeopathy

High blood pressure, also known as hypertension is a common disorder often with no symptoms. Blood pressure is the force created by the pumping effect of the heart, in order to keep the blood circulating adequately through the blood vessels. The blood must maintain a certain level of pressure within the circulatory system to get to the various tissues.

There are two types: Essential and secondary hypertension.

In the majority of cases, the cause of hypertension cannot be determined. Emotions and temperaments can affect blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension.

A high percentage of people fall into the category of secondary hypertension, because this condition arises as a consequence of another disorder. The most common causes of secondary hypertension are hereditary tendency, atherosclerosis, and obesity.

It is believed that the narrowing of the arteries throughout the body decreases the flow of blood to the heart muscle and causes the heart to pump with greater force. When the heart pumps harder, it causes the blood pressure to rise. People with hypertension are at high risk of a heart attack, stroke, and heart failure. Other less common causes of high blood pressure are tumors, adrenal and kidney disorders.

The first sign of heart trouble is high blood pressure. As the heart works harder against the high pressure, the chances of a heart attack are greater.
